A security agency and one of its employee guards settled employment concerns of the latter through the Branch via the DOLE Single Entry Approach Program.

“I have been trying to reach our management to ask for feedback regarding my work, but nobody was responding,” the guard told the Branch. His concerns include underpayment, non-payment of 13th month pay and non-payment and/or underpayment of salary premiums due for overtime and night shifts.

The parties, after two meetings, agreed to settle the concerns. Management paid the amount of P10,000 for the money claims which the guard accepted. In addition, the former will also adjust his wages starting March 1, 2020.

“We will see to it that his wages and all premiums due to him for his 12-hour duty be given,” the management said.
